What can the revolution do for me? Joti Brar explains why women need socialism

Joti Brar, vice-chair of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist), speaks to an online meeting organised by Ethera Api on the question of women’s rights, women’s liberation and bourgeois feminism. What is the root cause of women’s oppression? How did it start? How will it end? Are men really the enemy? Who launched the ‘battle of the sexes’ and why? Joti explains how understanding the origins of the women’s question enables us to find the solution. Fundamentally, she says, we need to understand that the women’s question is a CLASS question, and won’t be solved in isolation from the wider class struggle. The meeting was recorded on 16 May 2020 and was originally hosted on the WPB YouTube channel. ______________________________________________ Subscribe! Donate!
