First nuclear power plant in NE China fully operational

For more: Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Station, the first nuclear power plant in northeastern China, became fully operational on June 23. After a trial run of 168 hours, the sixth-generating unit at the nuclear power plant is ready for commercial operation, according to the China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGN). The power plant in Liaoning Province has a total installed capacity of over million kilowatts, making it the largest of its kind so far in China. With Unit 6 put into commercial operation, Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant has also become the third-largest nuclear power plant in the world.
