Jubilant fans in Madrid celebrate Spain’s first-ever Women’s World Cup win
Fans in Spain were ecstatic as they watched their country win the Women’s World Cup for the first time with a 1-0 win over England in the Final on Sunday.
Captain Olga Carmona scored in the 29th minute, drilling in from the left of the area after England lost possession in midfield and Spain countered quickly to take advantage in the clash at Stadium Australia.
Fans watched the game on big screens in Madrid, erupting in cheers as Spain emerged victorious and flooding Madrid’s streets to carry on their celebrations.
