King’s first official painted portrait since coronation unveiled

The first official painted portrait of the King since the coronation has been unveiled at Buckingham Palace. The striking piece of work is about 8ft 6in tall, and 6ft 6in wide, and was done by the artist Jonathan Yeo. Mr Yeo has also painted Tony Blair, Sir David Attenborough and Malala Yousafzai. The King sat for the portrait on four occasions between June 2021 and November 2023 at Highgrove in Gloucestershire, and Clarence House in London.
