Drummer extraordinaire Daru Jones continues to add more accolades to his resume by joining forces with acclaimed beatsmith, Kev Brown. The result is their collaborative LP, A Daru State of Mind feat. Eddie Sancho. which is the result of the admiration they have for eachother’s craft. The project showcases their talents while providing a “fly on the wall” experience as they deliver audio commentary across each track, detailing how the funky, raw instrumental LP came together. Eddie also offers first hand testimonial of being DJ Premier’s engineer during the ’90s, and playing a large role in the boom-bap sound of that era.
