Jesse West, aka 3rd Eye (born December 4, 1967 in the South Bronx, New York) is a producer/rapper. Jesse grew up in the Bronx River Projects, where the Master/Teacher DJ Afrika Bambaataa founded the Universal Zulu Nation. Nine is a rapper of Jamaican origin, from New York. His artist name refers to his date of birth (), his shoe size and his lucky number. Nine’s first release was under “Nine Double M“, he later went to shorten his name to “9 Double M“ and then finally to “Nine“. His first notable appearance on wax was with Funkmaster Flex on “Six Million Ways To Die“ in 1993. He has since released several (now very collectable) albums and numerous singles.
