Agni Parthene - Chants of the Byzantine Army - Greek-Byzantine Orthodox
Thanks to the follower @Political Karstark for the idea¡
Agni Parthene, translated as “Oh, Pure Virgin“, is a Marian hymn of Greek origin composed by Saint Nectarius of Aegina at the end of the 19th century, published for the first time in his Theotocium.
In Orthodox churches it is considered a paraliturgical hymn, therefore it can only be sung on non-liturgical occasions. In spite of everything, it is normally interpreted by some choirs as a hymn at the end of the office once the Divine Liturgy is concluded, during the veneration of the cross and at the moment of receiving the antidoron.
