SiR ft. Isaiah Rashad - Karma. An exclusive performance for Vevo. We’ve made it a habit to check in with SiR over the course of his artistic journey. Refinement and a little bit of restlessness are at the crux of the Inglewood R&B hero’s craft. It’s why the Top Dawg Entertainment team folded the Cali dude into their crew ’bout a decade ago. It’s why we here at Vevo linked up with the “D’evils” singer for a ctrl sesh back in 2019, when he was promoting ‘Chasing Summer’ - his third album overall, and second with TDE. It was typified by lush and contemplative tracks such as “You Can’t Save Me” and the Kendrick Lamar-assisted “Hair Down.” Over the pandemic, we captured him performing at his home; it was a time when the yearn for intimacy that pervades his music took on extra meaning as we all longingly stared out windows in lockdown. “Karma” is SiR’s first drop of 2024. It’s got a good amount of bop in it - similar to “Hair Down.” His vocal chemistry with the surgical Isaiah Rashad is an experiment gone very right, and we were happy to provide a laboratory in which they could do their thing.
