2024 World Economic Outlook: WEF’s Olivier Schwab

For more: The five-day World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting wrapped up last week. The world’s political and business leaders, as well as representatives from civil society, gathered to discuss the top topic, rebuilding trust in an increasingly fragmented world. According to the WEF’s latest Chief Economists’ Outlook, 56 percent of chief economists expect the world economy to weaken in 2024 while a majority predicted loosening labor markets and financial conditions this year.
