Pilot Rescued From Sea (1956)

California, United States of America (USA). LV. Four jet fighters flying over the sea in formation. LV. Fighter coming into land on the US carrier “Essex“. It touches down and at that moment it starts to swivel around to continue on its way down the deck - arresting gear on the carrier fails and fighter is unable to stop. LV. The fighter coming down the deck sideways and the camera pans with it. It is turning slightly all the time. It falls off the edge of the carrier into the sea. Crew onboard ship all rush to the side to look after the splash has cleared. One can see the plane in the water and the pilot getting out of the cockpit. LV. Helicopter flying along just near the aircraft carrier. SCU. The helicopter coming back to carrier. LV. The helicopter on the deck with the pilot coming away from it with two other men. LV.
