The Perfect Fall Duster Cardigan | Step-by-Step Tutorial
This video is an easy to follow, beginner-friendly tutorial on how to crochet this beautiful duster cardigan. This project is appropriate for crocheters who are already familiar with the following basic stitches: slip knot, foundation double crochet, double crochet, cross stitch double crochet, half double crochet in the BLO, and extended single crochet. The main body of the cardigan (front panel-back panel-front panel) is worked in all in one piece flat, and the sleeves are worked in the round, using the same 4-row repeat pattern. I used 3.5 skeins of Michael’s Caron “Cinnamon Swirl Cakes“ Marble yarn () and a 6mm hook. Other materials used for this project include measuring tape, scissors, darning needle and stitch markers. For details on measurements for each of the different panels:
- Cardigan Length: From shoulder to ankles
- Back Panel Width: Shoulder to shoulder 2 inches of ease
- Front Panel Width: (Back panel divided by 2) minus 3 inches
- Sleeves Length: Shoulder to wrist
- Sleeves Circumference: Biceps
