Nelly Miricioiu enjoyed great success in 1990’s at the Kennedy Centre with Washington Opera which included signature title roles as Violetta in Verdi’s ’La Traviata’, Donizetti’s ’Anna Bolena’ and ’Manon’ by Massenet. This performance of Lucrezia Borgia is one of a number of opera concerts that she also gave with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Washington Concert Opera conducted by Maestro Stephen Crout to whose memory this recording is now dedicated.
