Yngwie Malmsteen: Guitar Player Magazine 1982 Demo Tape.

In 1982 called Yngwie Malmsteen sent a demo tape to Mike Varney who had a column in Guitar Player magazine and also owned a record label called Shrapnel Music. This is the demo tape that Yngwie sent to Mike Varney to include in his “Spotlight“ column of Guitar Player magazine. He was 19 when he sent it, it appeared in the February 1983 edition. All the compositions, lyrics and arrangements of Yngwie J. Malmsteen. Varney was so impressed with Malmsteen in his “Spotlight“ column that he invited the virtuoso to start recording a solo album a plan that was derailed when Yngwie received an offer to join the band in front of Ron Keel, Steeler, also in the Shrapnel Music stamp.
