Police face off with pro-Palestinian protesters as thousands march in London

Tens of thousands of protesters marched through London on Saturday (February 17) in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. Scuffles sporadically broke out between demonstrators and police officers. Eleven people were arrested at a pro-Palestine demonstration in central London on Saturday for alleged offences including inciting racial hatred and supporting a proscribed organisation. Up to 250,000 people were expected at the demonstration, said organisers, with speakers including the former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and Palestinian ambassador Husam Zomlot. The war between Israel and Hamas terrorists has been raging for over 100 days, as Israel vowed to eradicate the terrorist group after Hamas killed and butchered over 1,200 people on October 7th.
