We’ve made this comic to draw public attention to a huge problem: the completely disrespectful way YouTube treats original creators. We have nothing against fan-made works, but when the video hosting service accuses the original creator of “reusing“ their own content, ignoring both the voice of reason and clear evidence, it sounds like a mockery of content creators, viewers, and common sense. Our situation is just a drop in the ocean of YouTube’s unfairness, negligence, and snobbery. Many creators, who have been mistreated in this way, prefer to remain silent so as not to incur the wrath of the monopolist. But we will not. If you agree that YouTube needs to be more respectful to content creators and viewers, instead of playing a polite but otherwise completely uninvolved God, then please help us spread this comic or video so that more people know about this problem.
