Franz Liszt - Après une lecture du Dante: Fantasia quasi Sonata (Pavel Artemiev)

Uploaded this video cause I liked the performance and the performer asked me to upload it anyways so whatev. Anyways, “Après une lecture du Dante: Fantasia quasi Sonata“ which a bit of a mouthful, but you can call it “Dante Fantasia“ for short. I dunno why people call this piece a Sonata tbh, it says right in the title that it isn’t one. That’s like calling Beethoven’s 14th Sonata; “Moonlight Fantasia“, which I admit is a pretty neat name, but not really correct. Ok, so back on track, this piece was originally composed in 1839 as , but was then revised to in the same year and that was done again as still in the same year. Then Liszt kinda just left it be for a while until he started working on his 2nd Années de Pèlerinage book from 1846-1849 and revised this work for the last time as and finally published it in 1858, so yeah.
