老虎台乡民兵骑兵连，驻地位于天山南麓的新疆阿克苏地区拜城县，距离国境线不到100公里，是全国唯一在编的民兵骑兵队。“老虎台”在维吾尔语中意为“灌木丛”，民兵连因乱石滩里的灌木丛而得名，曾被国防部和解放军原总参谋部授予“高原上的雄鹰”称号。60多年来，一茬茬骑兵在这里扎根奉献，默默守护着边境地区的安全和稳定 The Laohutai Township Militia Cavalry Company is located in Baicheng County, Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, at the southern foot of the Tianshan Mountains. It is less than 100 kilometers away from the national border. It is the only militia cavalry unit in the country. “Tiger Terrace“ means “bush“ in Uyghur. The militia company was named after the bushes on the rocky beach. It was once awarded the title of “Eagle on the Plateau“ by the Ministry of National Defense and the former General Staff of the People’s Liberation Army.
