McHenry County sheriff’s deputy Jake Keltner, working with a U.S. Marshals Service task force, was shot Thursday, March 7, 2019, while attempting to serve a warrant on Floyd E. Brown, according to police. Brown was wanted in connection to residential burglaries in Bloomington. He fled Rockford before being stopped on Interstate 55 in Logan County.
