ALBEROBELLO / Puglia, Italy (Trulli Houses)

Alberobello is located in the region of Puglia, southeastern Italy. A Unesco World Heritage Site, Alberobello is a small and scenic town mostly famous for its trulli houses with cone-shaped roofs. The town has two main trulli districts - Rione Monti and Aia Piccola. Rione Monti is more touristic and visited area with plenty of small alleys lined with trulli houses that are turned into souvenirs shops. Here is located the Sant’Antonio church. Aia Piccola is less visited by tourists and is more quiet area. Other places worth seeing: the main square - Piazza del Popolo dominated by church, behind which there is a spot for panoramic views of the city, and the Basillica of Saints Damian and Cosma.
