A Beautiful and Thriving Ecosystem! │ Woodland Pond Ecosphere - 6 Month Update

In this video we take a look at the Woodland Pond Ecosphere. It has been 6 months since it’s creation and a lot has happened since then. This ecosphere has a good selection of diversity in organisms, which are shown in this video. In this video we can see a lot of plant growth. The ecosphere looks fantastic and is probably one of my favorites. The starwort looks extremely healthy, however the duckweed does appear to be on the decline. I believe this is due to being outcompeted for nutrients. Animals I didn’t expect to find have made an appearance such as the European Fingernail Clam (Sphaerium corneum) and Globular Springtails (Sminthurides aquaticus). This is the first time I’ve ever seen these species inside one of my ecospheres before so i was really excited to upload this video. Overall I’m very pleased with this ecosystem and it’s progress. The ecosphere is not only beautiful, but biodiverse. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome! I love this ecosphe
