Johnnie Ray, born as John Alvin Ray (January 10, 1927 – February 24, 1990) was an American singer, songwriter, and pianist. He was extremely popular for most of the 1950s as a singer of rock ’n roll.
He performed exclusively live at the Platengala (Record Gala) in the Netherlands recorded by AVRO Television. This program was recorded live from the Ahoy-hall in Rotterdam, the Netherlands on 15 October 1982.
Johnnie Ray was recorded live by at the Platen Gala 1982 accompanied by the Metropole Orchestra with director Rogier van Otterloo.
