Herald composes Langston Hughes’ “Bouquet“ (16x actual speed)

This is Herald, a machine capable of writing calligraphy with a fountain pen. This video shows Heralds composing a brief letter that contains Langston Hughes’ “Bouquet“. Herald was designed and built over the course of two months by five students at Olin College, Daniel W. Dichter (mechanical), Kate Maschan (mechanical), Shane Skikne (software), Eric Tappan (electrical), and Diana Vermilya (software).
