‘An absolute joke’: Taxpayer money ‘wasted’ on First Nations ambassador position
Sky News host Chris Kenny has slammed the First Nations ambassador position, held over the last financial year by Justin Mohamed, after it was revealed taxpayer money has been “wasted” on airfares.
The Daily Telegraph reports Mr Mohamed went on nine overseas trips that cost taxpayers $350,000 in airfares and accommodation for him and his colleagues.
“What an absolute joke. A position that can’t do any good for this country. It can only do harm, pushing confused, unnecessary or contradictory messages for this country,” Mr Kenny said.
