Visiting the Lost Capital of WW2 Czechoslovakia

On the 1st of October 1938, the German army crossed the borders of Czechoslovakia to occupy its first territory - Sudetenland. One of the largest cities of this occupied district was Reichenberg, which will become Sudetenland’s new capital. Interestingly, most Czechs nowadays wouldn’t be able to point out on the map, where Reichenberg was. It’s not that the city disappeared. It till today exists, under a completely different name: Liberec. In today’s video, we will explore the history of Reichenberg and how it was connected to WW2 Czechoslovakia. Don’t worry!
