Painting White Aster and Red Hibiscus on Antique Xuan Rice Paper

Antique Xuan Paper is available at our online store: This is the second painting I did out this Thanksgiving Bouquet that we got from farmer’s market last weekend. I combined the white aster with a red hibiscus in a Zhe-zhi or “cut-flower“ style, which as you can see is quite different than the “Still-life“ in western paintings.
