Convert a $3 Foam Glider to RC Flight!

Convert a $3 Foam Glider to RC Flight! In this video I’ll convert a $3 foam glider, found on a Google search, to radio control model airplane. This is a good example how to covert a chuck glider to RC. This foam glider was purchased at Michael’s craft store. The glider had three parts: a fuselage, wing and stabilizer. All are held in place via friction fit for this foam glider RC conversion. I used the ParkZone line of ultra-micro RC electronics for motor and control, available from Horizon Hobby for this RC plane. This is the same hardware I use for a Guillows RC conversion kit. Discussion next on how to modify the glider, where to place the motor and electronics, add a balsa rudder and elevator with hinges, locate the proper center of gravity and ensure all the controls operate properly. Final chapter is a test flight of this chuck glider to RC! The little plane flew well, although a bit fast due to the smaller wing. Overall a fun lear
