Tories to legislate supporting Israel while banning objection to it

How can a former Chair of Labour Friends of Israel, turned Tory appointed peer, possibly be impartial on pro Palestine protests? Right, so a former chair of Labour Friends of Israel, now a life peer has recently completed a report for the Tory government, urging a zero tolerance approach to pro-Palestine and climate protesters, I can’t imagine why such a person could have come to such a conclusion, can you? He has accused the likes of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign of having hate within their ranks and they should not be engaged with by politicians until they get their house in order? Does all this sound vaguely familiar? Well given this awful individual was also one of the most vocal critics of Jeremy Corbyn, that perhaps is no surprise. He was an absolute balloon then and remains so now, as yet another excuser of Israeli genocide, tries to point the finger at Palestine solidarity and say look at them, not at Israel. Well I’m not buying what you’re selling here sunshine. Right, so for those unfamiliar with this story, the individual we’re talking about here is a certain John Woodcock, who now prefers to style himself as Baron Walney and for those of us with a passing familiarity with this chap, there might be a very good reason why he chose to detach himself, publicly at least, from his own name, because one of the first things you’re likely to find about him upon a search, is why he quit the Labour Party, having been suspended and under investigation under allegations of sexual harassment against a staff member. He has always refuted this, when he was suspended in May of 2018, he said a thorough and meaningful investigation must take place, but perhaps it was too thorough too fast, as he quit the party the following the month. It was only ever an internal party investigation, the alleged victim never wanted it investigated, it all came out as part of a newspaper leak, which Labour then acted upon, but because Woodcock appeared to have run away from that investigation, it’s continued to follow him around. Anyway, this video is nothing to do with that, because Woodcock, or Walney whatever you want to call him, is also a former chair of Labour Friends of Israel and his actions right now, concerning his report, conducted for the Tory Party, so you can see what sort of Labour politician he very much was - on the right, Red Tory, pro Israel – very much play into the Labour Friends of Genocide terminology being far more frequently used on social media. Woodcock is a life peer these days, he got given a peerage in the 2019 dissolution honours list, of Boris Johnson, then the PM, or he was by the time this list came out, it was mid 2020 by then, and it was a reward for a number of horrible Brexiteer former Labour figures, Labour figures taking a peerage from a Tory, although all by this point were Independents and sit in the Lords as such. Others on this notorious awards list include Ian Austin, Kate Hoey, Frank Field and Gisela Stuart, Woodcock very much fitted in very comfortably with all of them, and had no qualms taking a peerage from a Tory. ***Subscribe to the channel here*** ►ABOUT ME: Hi, I’m Damien Willey.
