Nu Metal didn’t start with KORN...

Originally formed in 1993, Korn have and most likely always will be cited as the first Nu-Metal band with the very first Nu-Metal album. That would be their debut record in 1994, self-titled. The record was a commercial success and also helped to launch the career of one Ross Robinson. An American record producer that is often nick-named the godfather of nu-metal. Robison went on to work with the likes of Slipknot, Deftones, Sepultura and Limp Bizkit amongst others. If not for Korn though, we may never have even heard of him. Korn though wasn’t exactly ground zero for what we now know as Nu-Metal.
