Steps to setting up an e-kit with Fairview are below: 1.) Set the MIDI input for Kontakt to ’Omni’. 2.) Toggle to the ’SETTINGS’ page in Fairview. Select the ’MIDI PRESET’ menu at the bottom, and select ’Clear Mapping’. 3.) Begin assigning drum and cymbal pads by arming the ’MIDI LEARN’ button next to each hit, then hitting the pad or cymbal to make the assignment. 4.) If using a pad with multiple zones, assign both MIDI NOTE 1 and MIDI NOTE 2 to desired zones. 5.) To assign Hi-Hats, select the ’VELOCITY CURVES’ button at the bottom of the ’SETTINGS’ page. 6.) Arm ’HAT CC Learn 1’, and hit the first zone on the hi-hat pad. Arm ’HAT CC LEARN 2’, and hit the second zone on the hi-hat pad. 7.) Arm ’LEARN CC’, and press down on the hi-hat pedal. If hi-hats play open samples when closed, and closed samples when open, select the ’INVERT CC’ toggle switch. 8.) Go back to the MIDI assignments page, arm the MIDI LEARN button for pedal hat, and press down on the hi-hat pedal. 9.) Make sick beats... \m/ Snare Modes- 2 Snare Modes for programming MIDI. Snare Mode 1 operates normally, with the rim shot and snare center hits assigned to two separate notes. This is applicable if you have a snare pad with two zones. Snare Mode 2 allows you to program rim shot and snare center hits on the same note. Snare Mode 2 adds an extra velocity at the top of the range for snare center, and these hits now become the loudest rim shot hit. This is applicable if you have a snare pad with a single zone and need snare center and rimshot on the same note. List of hits and velocities at the link below: The music you hear in the beginning is from Anup’s new solo material. Moises D’Bello Ryan Wood Drewsif Stalin
