Sure it sounds very strange at first when you hear that you should put rice in a glass bottle. But there is a very good reason for this, which we would like to show you here in the video. Because you can easily clean your glass bottles and carafes with rice. If you want to know how THAT works, be sure to watch the video to the end! Cleaning a glass bottle can be quite difficult at times. Even if you get the gross dirt removed, there are usually still small bits of dirt left in the bottle. However, you can’t get into the bottle with a rag. Therefore, you can use rice for this. Fill a handful of rice into your bottle and add some hot water. Just enough so that the rice disappears under the water. Now you can either screw on the lid of the bottle or hold the bottle closed with your hand. If you use your hand, the water should not be too hot, so you don’t burn yourself!
