Amazing Autumn Switzerland - Colors of Fall

Autumn is the most beautiful season of the year! The many leaves on the trees start to change colors from green to yellow to orange and red. This wonderful phenomenon takes place every year during October and ends around mid-November. There are so many beautiful places to experience Autumn in Switzerland: Up in the Alps within the golden larch forests, at the lakes with their colorful trees and larches or even on the hills overseeing the landscape and villages. Really magical are early mornings or late afternoons by the lakes, as the water is going to be still that is going to show perfect reflections. With the many colorful trees around the lakes, some of the best photos can be taken during this time. October and November are furthermore quite foggy months, which often lead to very beautiful impressions. Standing on a hill or any peak often allows one to oversee the sea of clouds, a very fascinating phenomenon. In particular nice is when parts of the forests care covered in fog and just the very top of the trees are showing up. Very beautiful Autumn moments one can experience in the canton of Graubünden, Valais / Wallis, Ticino, Bern and in the region of Jura & 3 lakes. Very eyecatching are also the vineyards that turn golden in the second half of October, in particular the Lavaux or the ones at Ligerz. Magical moments are also snowy days, especially at lakes, when seeing the colorful trees being partially covered with snow. This may occur once in a while at lake Palpuogna and Saoseo in Graubünden or at Champex-Lac in Valais. Visit Switzerland during October and early November to witness the beautiful colors of Fall, enjoy less people but more beauty!
