Britain used to be a much wilder place. Britain was once home to many of the large mammals you can see in the rest of Europe but unfortunately today this is not the case. Over hunting and habitat loss led to the extinction of many wild animals in the UK but fortunately there might be a way back for them. Rewilding is a progressive approach to conservation. It’s about letting nature take care of itself, enabling natural processes to shape land and sea. One exciting part of rewilding is reintroducing extinct species in the UK.
