Turning Point USA released a statement on Charlie Kirk shortly after his death. “Every one of us at Turning Point USA is crushed and devastated by the hateful murder of our founder and guiding light Charlie Kirk,“ the organization said on social media on September 11. “All of us have lost a leader, a mentor and a friend,“ they said. “Above all, our hearts are with Erika and their two children. Charlie was the ideal husband and the perfect father. Above all else, we ask you to pray for the Kirks after the incomprehensible loss they have suffered.“ The widow of Charlie Kirk, Erika Kirk, spoke publicly for the first time on Friday night and is expected to make an appearance at her husband’s memorial service. “They have no idea what they have done. They killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith and God’s merciful love,“ Erika Kirk said during her statement. “You have no idea the fire you have ignited in this wife.
