Историческая гонка аэропоездов | Historical aerotrain race

These trains have never actually operated passengers. Moreover, their routes were never interrupted, and they could not really compete in speed. But knowing their real or potential technical capabilities, you can arrange a virtual race. Yes, they started at different times and in different countries. But, having brought them together, we can still compare what they were capable of: 1. Aerowagon of engineer Abakovsky: the beginning of the project - 1921; maximum speed - 140 km / h; closure of the project - 1921. 2. The Schienenzeppelin: the beginning of the project - 1929; maximum speed - 230.2 km / h; project closure - 1934 (last modernization), 1939 (finally dismantled). 3. Waldner Aero-train: start of the project - 1933; maximum speed - 120 km / h (speed of the model reduced by 10 times), 300 km / h (design speed of a real train); closure of the project -1936. 4. Aérotrain: project start - 1963; maximum speed - 430.4 km / h; closure of the project - 1977. The winner in this virtual “historic race“ is predic
