Patreon: Written by Pyotr Lavrov in 1895, this was a revolutionary socialist song set to the tune of the French Anthem “La Marseillaise“. It was popular during the Russian Revolution of 1905 and was used as a national anthem by the Provisional Government. It was also played along the Internationale by the Soviets for a period of time.
