Samurai Champloo op “Battlecry“ by Nujabes feat Shing02 (drum cover by Adrian Myst)

Samurai Champloo is an eclectic example of how different cultures may be mixed with the traditional Japanese culture, and they do this quite a lot, especially in combination with Afro-American one (let’s remember Afro Samurai). What I like the most about this anime (what can be considered as the main feature of the studio) is contemplation. It’s not about the story, not about plot twists, it’s about the way. You just live through some moments together with characters and observe their life, enjoying the atmosphere. All that finds resemblance in the opening track.
