It’s rare that I share a DJ set although I love to do them occasionally. The large majority of sets that I share while on tour are Live Sets.
What’s the difference between a live set and a DJ set you ask? Well it depends on who you ask, but for me when I do a live set I am playing with loops. I am not playing fully produced tracks and I have much more freedom to improvise with the flow of the moment. It’s my highest passion, however I also love these DJ sets where I get to bring in the energy of other producers that inspire me. It’s super fun to get a bit more dynamic by incorporating a larger range of energy. I still improvise the flow through the selection of tracks done as the energy is unfolding and I also like to incorporate live instrumentation and collaboration.
This particular set was a very special one as it was the first set I played after finishing my two month long personal retreat at my home in Guatemala. I brought a few of my own new tracks that I had never shared before as well
