Possibly the most famous cut in the history of film. A hard cut from a close-up to an extreme long shot. Then note the dissolve to the shot of the tiny figures clearing the sand dune, and the flawless composition. It’s all the real thing, shot in 1958-59, on location in southern Jordan.
