Visit: From The Bengsons: “When quarantine began we missed our communities ferociously. We longed to hold our beloved friends and collaborators tightly and be held. We started making this video, as a way to connect with each other across distance, to answer the question, ’what do I wish I could say to you right now, in a room, while we hold each others hands?’ The project became one of weaving together our HUNDRED DAYS art family (a show we created and toured with for years) and our new Actors Theatre of Louisville family. We tried to offer each other words of encouragement, to attempt to en-courage one another, fill one another with love and courage to continue. We became even more grateful for the process as the community tragedies brought on by the public health crisis of systemic racism continued to unfold. We said to each other ’I’ll be walking beside you. Wherever you are, however you’re hurting or working or being in this world today, I remember you, and I stand with you.’ We said it to each other, and now we say it to you. I’ll be walking.
