Gospel Funk 45 - The (Mighty) Christian Soldiers - ’Do it for the Lord’

I’ll be uploading tracks on a regular basis so please feel free to subscribe to receive notifications to this channel. Please message me if you have similar gospel LP’s or 45’s available for sale too, thanks! The (Mighty) Christian Soldiers ’Do it for the Lord’ (Goodie Train). Belting gospel funk cut that sounds very similar to the C.K. Brady arrangement also available to view on my youtube channel. This cites Little Harold Ballard on writing and arrangement duties, and clearly borrows heavily from Isaac Hayes’ ’Do your thing’ for the melody. Possibly released in 1972, and very tricky to locate, even here in Los Angeles, the hometown of Goodie Train. Featured on the monthly broadcast The Divine Chord Gospel Show on , hosted by DJ Greg Belson. “Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use“ for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
