On top of that, the nature of social media started to really wear me down & make me feel bruised inside recently. I can be so incredibly hard on myself. Because of all of that, I felt a real connection to the lyrics of this song. To me, it perfectly illustrates the struggle of longing for & striving for perfection, even while simultaneously knowing that it’s unattainable... & aching from feeling like others have a grasp on it, but it’s forever out of reach for yourself due to flaws in your nature that are out of your control. So this one’s for anyone out there who feels like they don’t belong. I see you. I feel you. You’re not alone.
