Transvaal, Transvaal My Country (English Subtitles)

This is a Russian folk song based on a poem written in 1899 about the Second Boer War. The Russian Empire was sympathetic to the Boer cause, with around 200 Russian volunteers (pictured) making their way to South Africa to fight for the Boers.
