School Strike for Climate Justice w/ Xiye Bastida | Brut

Subscribe to Brut America: Greta Thunberg skipped school in August 2018 to protest for climate justice outside Swedish parliament. There, a global movement was born. What began with one teenager rapidly gained momentum — just over a year later, 7.6 million young people took to the streets in major cities and small towns around the world for climate action. But the journey to gather millions of youth activists goes far beyond Thunberg. In Standing Rock, in Flint, Michigan and in so many other places around the world, dozens of young leaders are paving the way for the climate movement to spread.
