This vocabulary game can be played at the beginning of the lesson as a warming-up activity or for revising different groups of vocabulary when you feel that your students are getting tired. It is just perfect for kinesthetic learners because it gives students extra sensory stimulus. Students stay focused during the game and listen to the other students attentively in order not to repeat the words that have already been used. It can also be used for other age groups and levels. For example, with young adults intermediate the categories can be: ECOLOGY, FASHION, EDUCATION. For kindergarten kids you can use COLOURS, TOYS, FOOD. If the group is really big like 30 students plus, you can get 2 or 3 balls and ask two smartest students to act as teachers for their groups.
