The NEW Yangon Nightlife

In this video Shary goes bar-crawling along the new bars that have appeared along Strand Road. This area is called the Yangon Night Market and the road used to be lined with many traditional street food vendors but these have rapidly given way to a new type of bar usually made in a container sort of style. Most of the new bars have 2 floors. The area has rapidly gained favour among Yangon’s younger crowd, hipsters and expats as a trendy place to go out at night.
