At the end of September 2020, Areg Balayan, an Armenian photographer, went to document the Nagorno-Karabakh war with his camera. It lasted 44 days. The number of casualties went from dozens to hundreds, then to thousands. In this short documentary film, Areg shares his thoughts and stories from the war. He talks of those at the front but more of the people left behind: civilians, women, and children, and contemplates on ways to avoid the endless tragedy of war.
“We have to love each other more. Because it’s short, life is. Sometimes there are situations where you realize: ’That’s it. It’s too late.’“
