Upcoming shows: 23rd and 24th July 2015 at Lincoln Center Festival New York The Staging of Delusion of the Fury Harry Partch Project Part 3 | Ensemble Musikfabrik Das Ensemble Musikfabrik widmet sich dem Werk des amerikanischen Komponisten Harry Partch (1901--1974), einem der originellsten Künstler und Musiker des 20. Jahrhunderts. Heiner Goebbels, künstlerischer Leiter der Ruhrtriennale, wird Partchs Schlüssel- und Spätwerk „Delusion of the Fury -- A Ritual of Dream and Delusion“ (1965-66) als europäische Erstaufführung bei der Ruhrtriennale 2013 inszenieren. In diesem Zusammenhang wird das gesamte von Partch gebaute Instrumentarium für das Ensemble Musikfabrik erstmalig vollständig rekonstruiert und von den Mitgliedern des Ensembles erlernt. Dieser Prozess wird mit einer filmischen Dokumentation begleitet. As a ground-breaking precursor to further performances in Germany and Europe, Heiner Goebbels, Artistic Director of the Ruhrtriennale, will direct the European première of Partch’s late masterwork, “Delusion of the Fury -- A Ritual of Dream and Delusion“ (1965--66) at the 2013 Ruhrtriennale. It is on this occasion, that the entire ensemble of instruments will have been completely reconstructed and learned by the members of Ensemble Musikfabrik.
