Highlights of Russian Military Operation in Ukraine on May 2nd 2023

▪️Another terrorist attack on the railroad tracks during the passage of a freight train took place in the Bryansk region. The explosion resulted in derailing of a locomotive and about 20 cars near Snezhet’skaya station. ▪️At the same time, Ukrainian forces struck the Starodubsky district of the Bryansk region. A fire broke out in a private house in the village of Kurkovichi. There were no civilian casualties. ▪️In the neighboring Kursk region, the enemy once again shelled the village of Tetkino in Glushkovsky district. Seven houses and a gas pipeline were damaged as a result of the attack. No casualties were reported. ▪️There is a relatively calm period in the Kupyansk sector of the front: the sides are engaged in artillery duels and mutual reconnaissance. Russian units make extensive use of UAVs to identify the positions and activities of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups. ▪️Wagner PMC assault detachments continue to fight fiercely in the western districts of Bakhmut. The AFU command throws newly arrived units to the front line, trying to contain the onslaught of Russian forces. ▪️Ukrainian forces again fired indiscriminately on civilian objects in the territory of Donetsk agglomeration. In Horlivka, a boiler house and apartment buildings were damaged. ▪️The AFU small landing groups are trying to land and gain a foothold on the left bank of the Dnieper River. Almost all incidents are monitored by Russian intelligence and suppressed by targeted artillery fire.
