Homesteading

Late grafted persimmon fruit tree progress. I grafted this fruit tree using the V-graft at a very late time with success. Most grafting should be done in the spring when the rootstock is waking-up. At the very latest, most grafting should be done no later than 30 days after bloom for the tree. The scion should be taken before it wakes when dormant -- then stored in the fridge until needed when the rootstock wakes-up. When taken, fruit buds on the scion should be small and not ready to bloom. #growhealthtv PRUNING VIDEOS: How to Prune a Fruit Tree to Central Leader or Modified Central Leader, Hoe to Prune Fruit Trees in Spring or Winter, How to prune new cherry trees, How to prune new apple trees in winter or spring: How to prune mature peach trees, Six fruit tree pruning methods,
