Natural Convection in a room with a heater

Playing around with open source finite element package Elmer. Natural convection is simulated in Elmer by iteratively solving the Heat equation and Navier-Stokes equations. The room is heated at below the window with a heater emitting 500 W/m^2. The room is cooled by the window and the external wall which is kept at 15 and 0 degrees Celsius respectively. The room temerature is initially at 20 degrees. The simulation is real time. Elmer is developed by the IT Center for Science Ltd which is administered by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. The website of the project can be found at
